Question 1

How quickly can you arrive if my basement floods during a storm?

Accepted Answer

We respond 24/7. In Fort Carson and El Paso County, most calls receive a technician within 2 hours. Call (719) 282-0997 immediately—the faster we extract water, the less structural damage and mold risk you face.

Question 2

What is the typical drying time after extraction?

Accepted Answer

Most homes dry in 3 to 7 days, depending on flood extent, humidity, and material density. We monitor moisture daily and remove equipment once readings drop below 12%. Off-post family housing and rental units often stay on an accelerated schedule to meet PCS or turnover deadlines.

Question 3

Do you handle sewage backups, or only clean water?

Accepted Answer

We handle all three classifications: clean water (burst pipe), gray water (appliance leak), and black water (sewage backup). Black-water jobs require more aggressive material removal and sanitization. Let us know the source when you call so we dispatch the right crew and equipment.

Question 4

Will my homeowner's or rental insurance cover flood cleanup?

Accepted Answer

Standard homeowner policies do not cover flooding from external sources (storms, groundwater). However, internal water damage (burst pipes, roof leaks) is usually covered. We photograph and document everything to support your claim. Rental policies vary—always review your policy and call your adjuster once we begin.

Question 5

I'm in a PCS move and my off-post rental flooded. Can you work around my timeline?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We understand military timelines. We prioritize extraction and drying for PCS-week situations and coordinate with landlords and property managers along Highway 115, Speck Avenue, and surrounding areas. Call us early so we can stage equipment and staff for fast turnaround.

Question 6

What happens to wet carpets and flooring—can they be saved?

Accepted Answer

It depends on flood type, water temperature, and how fast drying begins. Clean-water floods over natural materials like hardwood may be salvageable if dried within 24 hours. Black-water and long-standing moisture usually require removal. We assess on-site and advise which items are worth drying versus replacing.
